Just stick to secret agenting or something that doesn’t require throwing a shield.

SECRET AVENGERS #19 Written by WARREN ELLIS Pencils by MICHAEL LARK Cover by JOHN CASSADAY RUN THE MISSION. DON’T GET SEEN. SAVE THE WORLD. In the decadent and crumbling city of ANIANA, in the Eastern European country of SYMKARIA, a local drug lord is planning to sell something mysterious to the Shadow Council. The Secret Avengers cannot risk that, or an interception after the fact — they must get to the drug lord before the handover, and take whatever the goods are. Their covert mission uncovers something utterly unexpected, ancient and terrible and a threat to the entire world… 32 PGS./Rated T+ …$2.99
Ellis’s Secret Avengers plan seems to be a series of done-in-ones, each issue featuring a different grouping of characters. I’m hoping that the cover doesn’t lie and this is a Steve/Valkyrie/Marc/Natasha teamup, because Lark drawing Black Widow is one of the top ten things I felt deprived of by Brubaker’s Daredevil run.
Also, that $2.99 price is a mistake, right?

I think that might be Sharon Carter instead of Brunnhilde, but I’ve been wrong before.
Secret Avengers hasn’t let me down before, and that $2.99 cover price pretty much cements that I won’t be dropping this title any time soon.
I just hope that there’ll be some sort of conclusion with the John Steele story. Also, they should bring Richard Rider back.
