MARVEL PANEL OF THE DAY
You just won’t let me express myself, U.S. Agent!
Captain America and USAgent by Ron Lim.
Speaking at Fan Expo Canada today, Jeff Parker and new series artist Neil Edwards discussed the newest direction for the Dark Avengers series, which will see another new incarnation of the team, led by John Walker as the USAgent once again.
The only other revealed member is Moonstone, who continues to be a Dark Avengers/Thunderbolts mainstay, and Parker was tight-lipped about the exact direction the book would be taking, though he did heap praise on Edwards’ art.
It seems that once again the Earth is going to require some of its more shady characters to save it, as they have in previous Thunderbolts adventures, and continue to do so in the Dark Avengers title at the moment.
Dark Avengers #183 hits in December.
Looks like I’ll be reading Dark Avengers
Captain America VII (Bucky) meets US Agent (aka Captain America V).
[from Mighty Avengers (2007) #30]
I do believe Bucky is Cap VI, unless we’re counting Clint Barton’s one night stint as Cap, or I’m forgetting about someone else
US Agent vs. Ronan.
[from Maximum Security (2000) #3]
US Agent joins the Avengers.
[from West Coast Avengers (1986) #44]
New Marvel Legends has a lot of Cap
Commander Rogers, Bucky Cap, US Agent and Arnim Zola
I absolutely NEED these.
The only problem I have with them is that the US Agent looks like it’ll just be a repaint of Cap. John Walker has always been shown in comics to be more broad shouldered and bulkier than Steve, and the 3.75” US Agent figure that Hasbro released with their First Avenger toyline was a perfect representation of John Walker.
Other than that, these figures are gorgeous.
Here’s Steve and John from the comics for a comparison on their builds
