This originally started out as a study of one of my favorite Alex Ross Drawings. I decided to go all the way with it and make a digital painting.

Thank you so much for your consideration!"This is a series of unique art prints of your favorite comic book characters & their origin stories. Each print has it’s own personality, and at it’s very core each print represents the story of one character. Although all the prints may not look the same, they still fit together as a series. They were all illustrated the way we thought fit the character, and story best."

Hey there, big fan of this page and Captain America in general. Ed Brubaker and his run on Captain got me hooked on comics a few years ago. I got hooked around the whole “Trial of Captain America” issues before I moved on to other comics.Anyway, on Free Comic Book Day this year, I did some digging in some discount boxes at my local shop, I found this comic. Mine is black and white variant and a 2nd printing though, so it’s slightly different. I was wondering if you could tell me a bit about this comic. Is this the first one Brubaker did? Thanks!

This is actually the first issue for Captain America volume 6. Captain America vol.5 #1 is when Brubaker joined the Cap team.

Volume 5 is where I got into Captain America, and it’s where I tell everyone to start if they want to get into Cap. Brubaker is an absolute wizard, and I miss him as the lead writer for Captain America. Rick Remender is the new writer for the Marvel NOW Cap comics, and he’s doing an excellent job.
